Venues like the Southern Blues Bar in Madras Street often have live music, Some of the RSA and working men's clubs, often have touring acts including international strippers.

The quality of acts vary to the mood of the night although the acts I have seen, the guys by contrast, work harder than the girls to make it more of an event... There are many brothels and escort agencies - all advertised in the yellow pages and in the press, Christchurch's daily newspaper. Also here you will find dozens of independent escorts for all occasions. Some of the brothels are actually nice inside and the staff friendly, others tend to be rather dark and dirty.
