Auckland Museum
With spectacular views across Auckland's cityscape and Waitemata Harbour, Auckland War Memorial Museum contains many stories and treasures of Aotearoa-New Zealand. Our opening hours are 10am to 5pm every day except Christmas Day and ANZAC morning (25 April).
Admission by donation.

Auckland Museum can be easily reached from any part of the city, by car or public transport. It is close to the motorways and the city centre as well as the popular shopping and cafe areas of Parnell Village and Newmarket.

Auckland Zoological Park
Auckland Zoo is located just west of Downtown Auckland in beautiful Western Springs Reserve along with the Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT). Auckland's first electric tram, number 11, provides a link between both attractions. Auckland Zoo is well signposted both east and west bound on the North Western Motorway.

New Zealand National Maritime Museum
The New Zealand National Maritime Museum collects and exhibits a diverse range of nautical and historical artefacts that represent New Zealand maritime history from the earliest Polynesian arrivals to modern day seafaring.
Situated in the centre of Auckland's waterfront recreational area.

Howick Historical Village
A Living Museum which recreates a British immigrant village of the Fencible settlement in Howick, Auckland.
The Village has the most extensive collection of early colonial buildings in New Zealand including raupo whares, courthouse, schools, general store, fencible soldiers cottages, church and forge. The authentic representation of a 19th century village takes the visitor back in time.

Auckland City Art Gallery
Auckland Art Gallery has the most extensive collection of national and international art in New Zealand. A public art gallery located within two buildings, the main gallery and the new gallery, it exhibits work from its collection along with a programme of national and international touring exhibitions.

SkyTower
When you want a birds eye view, at 328 metres Sky Tower is the tallest tower in the Southern Hemisphere, offering breath-taking views for more than 80 kilometres in every direction.

Auckland Domain and Winter Gardens
The Auckland Domain is the city's oldest park and is spacious and diverse. The 75 hectare park has been developed around the cone of an extinct volcano. The 'tuff rings' created by volcanic activity thousands of years ago can be seen in the land contours and forms a natural amphitheatre with about 10 hectares developed as first-class sports fields.
The main park gates are on Park Road, Grafton by Auckland Hospital, just a short walk across Grafton Bridge from upper Symonds Street. Other vehicle entrances are from Stanley Street, George Street and Titoki Street. The Link bus service stops at the Domain.
